Riding Lessons

​ At Silver Leaf Farm our mission is to provide your child fun and informative riding lessons in a safe and trusting environment. We are so excited you chose us to start or progress your horseback riding journey! Riding lessons with us start from the basics of grooming and tacking up your horse to learning how to ride in a safe and fun atmosphere.  We are currently only offering private lessons and have lesson slots open on Saturdays.  

​Each lesson is 1 hour long starting at the time of your designated lesson slot (please don’t be late). For beginners plan on ½ of the hour being grooming and tack information with the second ½ of the lesson being riding. As you progress the riding time will increase, and tacking/grooming can be done prior to the start of the lesson time. We have a 24-hour cancellation period unless an extreme emergency and encourage everyone to reschedule a make-up lesson for the same week as riding skills progress quickest with weekly or biweekly lessons. Please remember that this is a fun hobby and if you are ever uncomfortable or feel anxious about new skills to please have a conversation with your instructor so that we can adjust and figure out the best way to help you move forward.

We do not offer trail rides at the farm.
